'Early Show' studio installs Panasonic 103in plasma display
CBS has integrated Panasonic’s 103in plasma display, the model TH-103PF9UK, into the news studio set of its “Early Show” from New York City.
Panasonic’s plasma display serves as a large canvas for the presentation of over-the-shoulder graphics for the newscaster. The TH-103PF9UK provides a widescreen progressive display featuring HD pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080, a contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and an effective display area of approximately 89in by 50in, which is equivalent in size to four 50in Panasonic plasma displays.
The TH-103PF9UK displays images with high-contrast and deep blacks in all HD and SD format video signals.
The display also features Panasonic’s built-in, multifunction slots that allow users to add and update the display with different combinations of optional boards to meet practically any application. The unit also features built-in functions such as image-enlarging and advanced dual picture mode for powerful multifeed systems.
