published Associated Press is reporting on Tribune technology coordinator Ira Goldstone's work to update the Emergency Alert System used by broadcasters. Ira Goldstone is serving as head of the FCC's advisory committee group studying how to improve distribution of emergency alerts in today's diverse media environment that, in addition to analog broadcasting, includes DTV, digital radio, cable TV and satellite.
