Satellite TV provider EchoStar brought in $1.86 billion in revenue during its third fiscal quarter, ending Sept. 30.
This 28 percent increase is attributed in part to the addition of 350,000 Dish Network net subscribers, boosting its total to approximately 10.5 billion, according to EchoStar.
Net income for the Englewood, Colo.-based company totaled $102 million, up from $35 million for the same period last year. Earnings per share were 22 cents for the quarter, compared to 7 cents per share for Q3 '04.
EchoStar also reported a one-time dividend of $1per share of Class A and Class B Common Stock. The $455 million dividend will be payable to stockholders by mid-December.
