Italian microwave link provider Elber and Adtec Digital have formed a strategic partnership to expand DTV delivery over DVB-T, IP and DVB-S networks.
With more than 10,000 microwave links in operation on six continents, Elber offers fixed and mobile broadcasting solutions. Elber is using Adtec Digital's equipment for digital compression of SDI video and audio feeds internationally over its microwave links.
Elber uses Adtec Digital's edje5110-RM encoders for SD and mediaHUB-HD Pro for HD, along with Adtec's DTA3050-ASI multiplexer, to create a multiprogram transport stream for transmission at the remote antennas for distribution to major regional, national and international carriers, particularly in South America and Africa.
Italian clients include La7, MTV, Tele A, Canale Italia, RAIWay (the technical division of Italian state television) as well as regional and local broadcasters.
