Election graphics supporting the coverage of this week’s historic elections in Turkey helped to keep tens of millions of TV viewers throughout the country informed as results came in live.
Though the issues were complex, the presentation of the voting for almost every channel nationwide was done with Vizrt real-time graphics systems.
Public service broadcaster TRT, as well as SkyTurk, Fox Turkey Kanal D, CNN Turk and TV24, all used Vizrt graphics for the election. For these channels, Arttek also provided its customized election data gathering and analysis software. The company’s live data systems were linked to Vizrt’s news template graphics to enable easy updates to be taken to air quickly by trained operators and journalists. In the case of Sky Turk, the live graphics were also presented within a Vizrt virtual studio environment.
Other broadcasters such as NTV and STV also provided coverage of the election using Vizrt graphics, but linked to their own data gathering systems.
