Entone demonstrates open VOD system at ECCA 05 conference
Entone Technologies recently demonstrated its open system VOD solutions at the ECCA 05 conference, in Budapest, Hungry. Entone’s live ECCA demonstration included its StreamLiner network video recorder (NVR) software architecture and the Encoding Studio content ingest and distribution workflow running on both HP and IBM servers.
Entone’s StreamLiner NVR is a software architecture that turns common hardware into specialized video servers that deliver VOD, NVOD and network personal video recording (nPVR) services.
Encoding Studio manages the end-to-end content ingest process for HD and SD video assets for all encoding formats. It is integrated with high quality encoders to provide exceptional encoding performance. It also uses one graphical user interface to manage the end-to-end workflow of digital assets through to the time they are passed to the networked video servers.
