ERI Transmission Filters Tapped for Emmy Award
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced Electronics Research Inc. (ERI) would receive an Emmy award for its ATSC broadcast transmission system RF filter accomplishments. The award will be presented at the CES award ceremonies to be held on Jan. 7, 2008.
“ERI is proud to accept this Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences,” said Tom Silliman, president and CEO of ERI. “Electronics Research has long been a leader in the broadcast industry, developing new technologies to meet the changing needs of broadcasters. We will continue to support our customers and industry partners by delivering integrated, high quality and innovative solutions to the challenges they face.”
These RF filters are used to reduce side-band emissions from ATSC transmitters in order to eliminate interference to adjacent channel stations. The filters also allow the combining of two transmitters on adjacent channels into a single antenna.
