ESPN Schedules Liftoff for Two New Nets

published ESPN is launching its second HD sports service next January, followed by a 24-hour college sports net in March.
ESPN2 HD will be a simulcast of the SD version of the channel, with more than 100 live telecasts of sporting events originated and transmitted in HD.
ESPNU will telecast around 300 live events a year - mostly college football and basketball - as well as studio programming and replays of games on ESPN's stable of sibling nets, including ABC.
