ESPN Taps Televersemedia For Its High Profile “Super Bowl at XL” Project
Televersemedia has signed with ESPN to produce seven hours of programming to premiere in the two weeks leading up to Super Bowl XL on February 5, 2006. The shows will air in prime-time on ESPN and dovetail into ESPN and ABC Super Bowl Sunday coverage.
The programs explore 40 years of Super Bowl history, interviewing the players, coaches, executives and writers who were there. Topics include: the greatest players, performances, teams, games and plays. Nearly 150 figures in Super Bowl history will participate to help create a definitive series in ESPN’s signature style.
The five programs are titled:
“The Ultimate Super Bowl 40-Man Roster” (2 hour)
“40 Minutes That Defined the Super Bowl” (2 hour)
“Super Bowl Top 10” (2 hour)
“Suzy Kolber’s Super Bowl XL Interview Special” (1/2 hour)
“40 Things You Didn’t Know About the Super Bowl” (1/2 hour)
When asked about the project, Televersemedia CEO Al Maiorano said, “It gives us a chance to expand our relationship with ESPN on one of the biggest stages in the world.”
