ESPN.com unique users top 20 million for second straight month
The audience for online sports media remains strong with last week’s announcement that ESPN.com drew more than 20 million unique users for the second consecutive month in October.
In September, ESPN.com set a new record for traffic in a single month with 20.38 million unique users, a number it nearly matched again in October, registering 20.35 million. The month marks ESPN.com's biggest October ever — up more than 9 percent compared to October 2003 — and was a 16 percent increase over October 2005.
For the month, ESPN.com content viewed on computers and wireless devices generated more than 2 billion page views, up 34 percent over page views in October 2005, according to Web measurement tool HitBox.
