ETV Expands Its Technical Capabilities to Broadcasters
Hollywood-based ETV recently signed an agreement that will adapt the company's broadband technology to work with broadcasters to improve streaming of live video. The system will be compatible with the Programming and System Interface Protocol (PSIP) systems used by broadcasters to identify and manage their DTV broadcasts.
ETV is a licensee of American IDC, which is a developer of Internet online communities, such as dating, music and entertainment portals. Joining ETV in this agreement is John Wilkie's Etherguide Prophesy, and the goal of the partnership to create an online Web streaming environment where viewers can watch television programming and easily click on buttons to receive more information or purchase products.
