Euphonix and Merging Technologies (MT) are collaborating to integrate MT's Pyramix digital audio workstation with Euphonix's System 5 range of digital audio mixing consoles. Euphonix’s ‘EuCon’ high-speed control protocol will be used to interface directly with Merging’s own ‘OASIS’ (Open Audio System Integration Solution) protocol, allowing tracks in Pyramix to be brought up onto the Euphonix work-surface for fader, switch and knob control with real-time metering and display of parameters. The integration will also include remote control of record and monitoring features. Work will start immediately on the development of the integration, with ship dates expected toward the end of 2004.
