Euphonix launches 37-City 'Max Air' broadcast tour

The Euphonix Max Air digital audio broadcast console

Euphonix is launching its 'Max Air' digital audio broadcast console with a nationwide tour. The 37-city demonstration begins September 25 in Minneapolis and is scheduled to be at the April 2003 NAB convention in Las Vegas after a cross-country journey.

The demonstration vehicle is outfitted with a 96 channel Max Air mixing system and is set-up to simulate a local TV station digital audio control room.

In each city the vehicle will visit up to five TV stations. The Max Air Broadcast Tour will also be present at Society of Broadcast Engineers local chapter meetings in most cities. Euphonix, and in some cases the tour sponsors, will be available to give a short presentation on the transition to digital. Tour schedule and SBE meeting calendar can be found at http://www.euphonix.com/tour.

Euphonix has partnered with many sponsors to create the realistic broadcast focused demonstration vehicle. The main sponsors include Accom with its Abekas 6000 Video Production Server, Miranda with the Kaleido-K2 virtual monitor wall processor working in conjunction with Pioneer's 43-inch progressive XGA plasma display panel. The vehicle's audio and video systems will show off the very latest in digital broadcast technology. Other sponsors include: 360 Systems, Clear-Com, DK-Audio America, Dolby Laboratories, Genelec, NVISION, TC Electronic, TerraSonde and Wohler Technologies.
