Euphonix reports healthy consoles sales
For those who think that audio is not being adequately addressed among local broadcast stations, think again. Digital audio console manufacturer Euphonx reports healthy sales among its broadcast station clientele.
ABC affiliate WCPO-TV, in Cincinnati, Ohio, recently purchased its second Euphonix System 5-B digital broadcast console in less than two years. Director of Sales Eastern Region, Peter Kehoe states that the award-winning station again chose Euphonix due to dependability and ease of use.
The newly purchased, 24 fader System 5-B will be used in the station’s production studio B for broadcasting such popular local programs as Sports of all Sorts, Around the house and Hot Seat.
Joe Martinelli, director of engineering at WCPO-TV, said that the station needed a console that could deliver superb sounding audio and was easy to use.
Other recent sales of the Euphonix System 5-B console includes: three to Western Mobile Television, two to NBC’s Tonight Show in Los Angeles, Calif., and two to the CBC in Canada.
Broadcast sales of its Max Air console have included three consoles to CNN in New York, two to CNN in Atlanta, Ga., two to Tribune Studios in Los Angeles and three Max Air consoles to WIPR in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
