“High Definition in Europe,” an annual conference approaching its second year, is scheduled for Nov. 12-13 in Barcelona, under the auspices of London-based media consultancy Understanding & Solutions. Again, this year’s confab will examine the various business opportunities and technical achievements that have sprung up in Europe in the past year, with a look westward towards North America.
The conference plans to bring back last year’s Hollywood panel event, featuring studio execs this year representing both HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc supporters such as Paramount, Sony Pictures, Walt Disney Co., Twentieth Century Fox, and Warner Bros.
Another HD panel, among more than a dozen in the two-day meeting, will discuss “The U.S. Experience and Lessons Learned.”
