Eurosport, the European sports channel, has purchased one Pinnacle Systems post-Deko, seven Deko2200 and two Deko1000 character generators as part of its new graphics layout operations.
NTL Broadcast, Eurosport's playout partner in the U.K., has taken delivery of an additional Deko2200 to localize all multi-region advertising and commercial content.
The solution, which is part of Cocoon, Eurosport's graphic broadcasting regulation system, was implemented following a decision by the company in January 2003 to redevelop Cocoon into a multi-country, multi-language platform controlling all graphics layout. The new solution went live in June 2003.
Cocoon ensures that Eurosport's graphics layout is prepared and broadcast in compliance with a standard template set-up to maintain consistency across all programming in all country markets, including Eurosport International.
