EVI Audio Handles Sound, Signals in Beijing
Systems from EVI Audio helped ensure flawless sound reinforcement and signal transmission at Olympic competition venues and across Beijing.
At the new Terminal 3 of the Beijing Capital International Airport, Electro-Voice loudspeaker systems, including Models ZX1i and Xi-1122, are used for communications and public address applications.
Across the Olympic venues, CCTV used communications systems from RTS to ensure that sound and images from the Games reach the viewing public. RTS components — including ADAM and Cronus matrixes connected to more than 60 KP-32 and KP-12LK keypanels — fill the broadcaster's outside broadcast vehicles. For wireless communications, Telex BTR700 and TR700 systems were used.
In the competition arenas themselves, systems integrator Procon Group installed some 400 Dynacord power amplifiers and 33 Klark Teknik Square One splitters for the Games. In the Shooting Gymnasium, too, a variety of Electro-Voice loudspeaker systems and microphones, communications and radio systems from Telex/RTS and Dynacord CMS Series mixing consoles were on hand.
Also, Telex wireless systems and Electro-Voice microphones were installed at the Training Gymnasium at the Olympic center, and Midas mixing consoles and Electro-Voice microphones were used at the Olympic Culture Centre.
