FCC Busts Garage Door Opener Distributors for Selling Unauthorized Transmitters
The FCC cited three companies for marketing an unauthorized radio frequency device. Barak Bitton d/b/a multi-code-garage-door-openers.com; Gabriel LLC; and Our i Village Electronics, all located in the Los Angeles area, were charged with marketing the LRT-1 learned mode remote control transmitter device manufactured by Tung Shih Technology. The FCC revoked the equipment authorization for this device on April 18, 2005.
The FCC noticed the companies were continuing to market the device on their Web sites and mailed them citation letters. For more information, refer to the multi-code-garage-door-openers.com citation, the Gabriel LLC citation and the Our i Village Electronics citation.
