FCC Designates Database Managers for Millimeter Wave Spectrum
The FCC has designed Frequency Finder, Inc., Micronet Communications and Comsearch as Database Managers for the 71-76 GHz, 81-86 GHz and 92-95 GHz bands. In this role, their responsibilities will include developing, managing and using link registration databases in coordination with each other and serving as clearinghouse and repository of current and historical link information for all registered non-Federal Government links in these bands. They are required to offer their services to all parties on a first-come, first-served and non-discriminatory basis and provide free public access to the link registration database. The Database Managers must ensure that non-Federal Government links are coordinated with Federal Government operations through NTIA's automated coordination mechanism.
For a complete list of the Database Managers' duties and responsibilities, see FCC Order DA-04-3151 referring to allocations and services rules for the 71-76 GHz, 81-86 GHz and 92-96 GHz bands.
