FCC Prepares for Rural Satellite Forum

published The FCC will hold a day-long forum Jan. 27 to discuss and examine how satellite technologies are being employed in rural areas of the country. The forum, entitled "Making the Rural Connection," will be held at FCC headquarters at 445 12th Street, SW, Washington, D.C. from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Exhibits and demonstrations will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The event will highlight consumer applications in education and telemedicine, public safety, agriculture, Internet and mass media entertainment. The FCC Chairman and Commissioners will participate in different sessions throughout the day.
The forum is free and open to the public.
