FCC Regulatory Fees to Rise 2.6 Percent

FCC regulatory fees will increase 2.6 percent for 2005, to more than $280 million for all the industries the agency regulates. For broadcasters, the fee increases range from about 1 percent (for some Class A AMs) to 14 percent (for certain VHF TV stations). For now, the fees apply only to analog stations, not digital. The FCC will soon release due dates.
