FCC releases correction in inquiry, complaint numbers

published The FCC corrected its quarterly statistics Jan. 11 tracking consumer inquiries and complaints processed by the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB) during the third quarter of 2006.
Originally, the commission said the number of informal consumer inquiries and complaints regarding radio and TV broadcasting increased from 53,352 in the second quarter of 2006 to 194,468 in the third quarter. The commission restated third quarter complaints, however, at 163,134.
