Few May Notice HD Lost its Mojo

Comcast and other cablers began axing the Mojo HD channel from their HD tiers this week (Dec. 1) following word last fall from Mojo parent company iNDemand that the channel that was conceived to be a shining showcase for HD fare would, instead, fade away.
The company issued a statement in October stating that the male-targeted Mojo HD channel “was originally conceived as a way to satisfy consumers’ thirst for pure true high definition programming. While Mojo HD accomplished this goal, there is a wealth of HD programming now available, and thus we have chosen to discontinue the service.”
On Comcast, the nation’s largest cabler, Mojo HD has been replaced by Versus HD, a sports venue which had been sharing channel space with Golf Channel HD.
