Indian facility Filmlab has acquired two IMAGICA Technologies IMAGER XE Advanced Plus scanners to drive its expansion into digital intermediate (DI) services.
The IMAGER XE Advanced Plus scanners will be an integral part of Filmlab's DI and film restoration workflows at its new Mumbai-based digital facility.
Filmlab is located in the hub of the Hindi film industry in the Goregaon region of Mumbai. The IMAGER XE Advanced Plus scans 35mm motion picture film with scan rates of 1.9 seconds per frame for 4K and 1.3 seconds per frame for 2K.
