Filmmaker uses ProHD HD100 for ‘An Inconvenient Truth'
Filmmaker and 2007 Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim used JVC's ProHD HD100 Series camcorder to shoot a portion of "An Inconvenient Truth," former Vice President Al Gore's documentary on global warming.
Recently interviewed on IndependentFilm.com, Guggenheim said that making the movie required traveling "everywhere with Al Gore." The filmmaker took the JVC GY-HD100 on the road and the camera "turned out to be the workhorse of this film."
Footage from the JVC ProHD camera was intercut with 16mm film "and it was flawless and beautiful," he said.
