Fla. City Switches with For-A Hanabi
For-A has equipped the City of St. Petersburg, Fla. with its Hanabi HVS-1000HS HD/SD video switcher for its city government TV station, WSPF-TV.
WSPF--which produces an average of 420 hours of original programming--purchased the switcher as part of its digital upgrade. The switcher is located in the station's master control room and is being used to cover 10 live government meetings per month. It switches between four digital robotic cameras and signals from a video projection unit, document stand camera and desktop and laptop PCs.
The one M/E switcher supports 1080i, 24p, 720p and standard-def formats and will be used with a four-camera robotic system for live broadcasts of city council and other meetings. The main unit can be equipped with a redundant power supply, DVE board, multiple keyer boards and color correction board.
