For-A has been selected to be the exclusive U.S. distributor of Xpresenter, the PowerPoint-based character generator and digital signage system created by VertigoXmedia.
Xpresenter is a hardware/software turnkey graphics system that runs as a plug-in inside the Microsoft PowerPoint interface, so users do not need to use a scan converter when creating presentations. Features include crawling tickers, live video playback and links to real-time data sources.
"It is extremely well-suited for production applications like churches, hotels and television stations where the talent using the system may change routinely," said Gary Attanasio, national sales manager of graphics solutions for For-A--manufacturer and distributor of audio/video systems.
Broadcasters such as CNN, Time Warner Cable and ABC use the broadcast graphics automation platform created by Montreal-based VertigoXmedia.
