Fox News Inks HD Fiber Gear Contract with MultiDyne
MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems said that Fox News in New York has purchased 50 of the company’s HD-1500 HD-SDI fiber links.
“Our HD fiber transport products provide the future-proof, cost-effective design needed to meet the changing broadcast requirements of Fox News,” said Bob McAlpine, MultiDyne vice president of global sales and business development. “The HD-1500 provides looping, equalized, and reclocked inputs, dual outputs and MultiDyne’s unprecedented, standard seven-year warranty.”
The HD-1500 system provides transport of digital signals ranging from 5 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps over distances of more than 20 km when used with single mode fiber, or more than 300 meters when multimode fiber optic cable is used. The equipment has a small profile, which makes it well suited for both remote and in-plant applications.
