Fox Sports Going HD
By TVTechnology
published Fox Sports Net is the latest cable sports venture to make the leap into HDTV, striking a deal with Time Warner Cable to begin high-definition programming as early as the fourth quarter of this year.
TWC announced the deal at the NCTA show.
FSN spokesman Lou D'Ermilio said 720p production would begin initially for six of the company's 12 owned and operated regional channels where TWC has a strong presence.
FSN hopes to have HD production up and running in time for the NBA and NHL seasons. The NFL, which appears on Fox's broadcast network, is not affected.
