FSR introduces two enhanced Magellen video-computer scalers
FSR, a provider of video, audio and computer-video switchers, has released its Magellan MAS-4100 and MAS-4100A model video-to-computer scalers designed for display of high-end video images on computer projectors.
The two new scalers are 4x1 audio and video switchers with composite, component and S-Video inputs. Each input is scaled to a user-selectable output resolution up to 1080i. Both units automatically size and position the incoming video signal and then scale the image to the user selected output resolution to generate the high-resolution output. The MAS-4100A includes a balanced stereo audio input that is compatible with unbalanced sources. The audio follows video and is sent out as a balanced stereo signal.
The units accommodate most worldwide NTSC, PAL, and SECAM TV standards and offer an array of built-in features to enhance performance. All set-up and operation controls are on the front panel and the both units can be remotely controlled via an RS-232 connection and supplied software, or with a control system.
