The first 16 Vector 900 pan/tilt heads to roll off the assembly line were recently purchased by Game Creek Video, a mobile production company, for the company’s first high-definition teleproduction trucks: Patriot and Yankee Clipper.
The trucks, both 53-foot expandos, will service top sports broadcast and cable networks.
The Vector range is used in studio and OB production vehicles worldwide. Game Creek’s complement of Vector heads exceeds 70.
The Vector 900 was designed with numerous performance enhancements incorporated into a smaller package. It comes with a retractable soft-grip carry handle, LCD multifunction display, and retractable adjuster for improved back and forth camera adjustment.
The Vector 900 offers a capacity of up to 198 pounds (90kg) and at this payload, provides ±90 degrees of balanced tilt, allowing safe control of today’s long OB lenses. By combining the characteristics of the TF drag control with infinite perfect balance adjustment, the effort needed to control the effect of a heavy, moving camera payload remains constant and predictable, eliminating a major distraction.
