Gee Broadcast to Support XDCAM
Gee Broadcast added support for the Sony XDCAM Professional Disc System to its Geevs Video Server product line.
Geevs currently supports MPEG-2 and DV25 broadcast formats and with added MXF compliance, and now users can now drag and drop XDCAM files into Geevs storage. New clip information can be automatically updated in the Geevs server.
A single Geevs chassis can hold up to eight channels and up to 50 more can be integrated into the same system using the company's GaSSS SAN storage.
Some of the software programs that the U.K.-based company provides include Geevs Sport, E-Z Delay, Multi-CAM and E-Z Edit. Hardware options include the Tac-Tile touch screen controller.
"By making Geevs XDCAM-compatible, we're keeping ourselves firmly at the forefront of key developments in the continuing digitization of the broadcast industry," said Keith Gee.
