Euroheli.com, a German helicopter firm, said this week it has become the latest party to buy a Cineflex V-14 HD system, the same basic gyro-stabilized equipment package used over several years of field work to capture much of the aerial HD video for the BBC's "Planet Earth" series now airing on Discovery HD and the Discovery Channel (TV Technology, Feb. 21, 2007).
The Freiburg, Germany-based company operates a fleet of EC120 and AS350 helicopters for a variety of services, including media projects. It said it will begin using the aerial gimbal and HD camera sometime next month, according to Rotor.com, mostly for commercials (primarily German car makers) and broadcast news shoots.
