OMNIMAGO, a post-production company in Germany, has purchased Digital Vision’s suite of motion-compensated, image enhancement tools. The system installed in the company’s digital restoration suite includes Digital Vision’s AGR4 real-time grain and noise reducer as well as its ASC3 ME dirt and scratch concealer.
Olaf Legenbauer, head of the film department at OMNIMAGO, said the ASC3 system removes dirt spots and scratches in real time before continuing the digital restoration with his team’s existing software restoration tools and helps reduce processing time. He said it also does a good job of cleaning images without noticeable artifacts.
