Gibson Tech Ed Fined for Selling Illegal Transmitters

published The FCC continues to track down and fine companies selling Ramsey FM transmitters capable of operating at power levels above those allowed under Part 15 rules. Last week the commission released a Forfeiture Order (DA-06-606) for $14,000 against Gibson Tech Ed Inc. "for willful and repeated violation of Section 302(b) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended and Section 2.803 of the Commission's Rules."
The Forfeiture Order said the violations involve Gibson's marketing of two unauthorized FM transmitters, models R-FM25B-WT and R-FM100B-WT. For additional information, refer to the Forfeiture Order (DA-06-606).
