Goal Line Productions shoots ESPN documentary with Fujinon HD lenses
Goal Line Productions used several Funijon HD lenses in Seattle’s Seahawk Stadium to get a wide view of the action.
A new documentary on ESPN2 entitled “151: The Greatest Streak,” was shot and produced by Goal Line Productions, based in Pleasanton, CA, with several Panasonic VariCam HD cameras and a variety of Fujinon HD lenses. The film documents the improbable winning streak of the De La Salle High football team, an all-male Catholic high school in Concord, CA.
Filmed at De La Salle High and Seahawk Stadium in Seattle, Goal Line Productions used three Fujinon HD lenses: a XA101x8.9BESM zoom, a HA22x7.8BERM/RD ENG-style lens and a HA18x7.6BERM/RD ENG-style lens.
A portion of the documentary covers a Sept. 4, 2004 game held at Seahawk Stadium between De La Salle High and Bellevue High School. Fujinon’s XA101x8.9, the widest sport lens in the industry, was positioned at the 50yd line and captured play action across the entire field, while the HA22x7.8 handled sideline shoots and locker room events. The HA18x7.6 was used for close-ups and handheld coverage for specific highlight clips.
