Post house Grace & Wild have purchased eight Panasonic AJ-HD3700B D-5 HD mastering VTRs.
The Panasonic gear will be used in the Farmington Hill, Mich.-based company's operating divisions, Postique and hdstudios.
Four VTRs have already been delivered to their respective locations and the rest will be delivered throughout the year.
Jeff Fleck, senior editor/HD specialist at Postique said that the VTR provides eight channels of audio, which is a nice benefit because users can encode Dolby Surround Sound when transferring to film without further D/A or A/D conversions.
Fleck also added that he is encouraging clients to move to HD for postproduction.
