Grass Valley, NEP Shooters Team Up for NBA All-Star Game
Thomson Grass Valley multiformat production gear was loaded onto an NEP Shooters digital mobile production unit to produce the SD and HD telecast of the NBA All-Star-Game on Feb. 20.
TNT broadcasted the game--1080i HD format-- live from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo. at 8:00 p.m.
Pittsburgh-based NEP Supershooters equipped its SS-18 and SS-27 trucks with a Grass Valley Kalypso HD switcher, more than 12 LDK 6000 mk II WorldCam HD cameras, a Trinix video routing switcher, Grass Valley Concerto Series audio routing switcher and several Gecko and Kameleon signal conversion modules.
Viewers with SD and analog NTSC TV received a downcoverted image from the output of the Grass Valley LDK 6000 mk II WorldCam HD cameras.
