G-SAM intros “best-practices” e-library

At the recent NAB convention in Las Vegas, the Global Society of Asset Management (G-SAM) unveiled an e-library of white papers and case studies that reveal successes and failures in asset and content management, storage and security. G-SAM is calling it the “ultimate source for all digital asset management information.” The information, consisting of some 100 documents, is available for free on the G-Sam Web site at www.g-sam.org

The most recent case study is from CAP Ventures, a strategic consulting firm for providers and users of business communication technologies and services. It details the methods of success from the Hallmark Channel and its many delivery platforms and shows how the cable network was able to take advantage of existing and evolving communications technologies to grow revenues by more than 75 percent in 2002.

Other features of the G-SAM e-library include: a business intelligence service that culls international wires and other data sources for the latest digital media coverage; localized information from the various global, regional and local G-Sam chapter sites; and a searchable database that offers members a comprehensive product and services directory.
