Montreal-based Hajtek Vision acquired the videoconferencing and related broadband video communication assets of Miranda Media Networks, a division of Miranda Technologies Inc. Hajtek retained all employees related to the acquired equipment line, the 500 series of broadband conferencing and video communication systems, and is planning to add new equipment, engineering, marketing and international sales resources. The 500 series combines MPEG-2 codecs with a range of ATM and IP network interfaces. The company plans to continue selling the series through its existing distribution network.
Hajtek received private equity funding to help fund the acquisition of the Miranda assets for an undisclosed sum.
