Hammond delivers video communications for convention centers, large facilities
Hammond Communications Group has introduced VMS, a venue management system for networked video communications tailored for convention centers and larger meeting facilities. VMS is modeled after a digital signage software module developed for the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati. In 2006, the Duke Energy Center, a 750,000sq-ft convention facility managed by Global Spectrum, installed Hammond’s digital signage system as part of a major renovation project. The system is based upon Scala’s InfoChannel signage software.
VMS was created to enable convention centers to more easily manage schedules, displays, advertising and reports from a central control room — all on a client-by-client basis. From a central PC, a user can quickly add each client, enter their dates and then schedule events to specific rooms.
