Harris Acquires Zandar Technologies

published Harris Corp. took another company. The Melbourne, Fla., gear vendor said it acquired Zandar Technologies, a developer multi-image display processors based in Dublin, Ireland.
Zandar systems are used to run virtual display walls for master control, situation rooms and broadcast trucks. Its client list includes ESPN, BBC, BSkyB, Alfacam, ESPN/STAR Sports in Singapore and “non-broadcast customers such as the FBI,” according to Harris.
Zandar joins a lineup of Harris Broadcast acquisitions that include Leitch, Aastra Digital Video, Encoda Systems and Louth Automation, among others.
