Harris is providing digital transmitters from its PlatinumCD line to Duhamel Broadcasting's four TV stations. Each transmitter has a Harris UniCoder encoding system for single channel encoding.
The PlatinumCD line of transmitters, which incorporate a Real-Time Adaptive Correction system to correct distortions in the power amplifier, are based on Harris' Platinum VHF transmitters.
The Duhamel stations include Rapid City, S.D.-based KOTA, KHSD in Lead, S.D. and Sheridan, Wyo.-based KSGW. Scottsbluff, Neb.-based KDUH also purchased a Harris HT20LS transmitter.
