Harris rolls out Inscriber G7
Harris made the worldwide debut of Inscriber G7, an integrated broadcast graphics solution, at IBC2008.
Running the latest G-Scribe creation and playout software, the G7 system delivers real-time 2-D and 3-D graphics in SD or HD over two channels and offers powerful capabilities, including video capture, dynamic 3-D charting, interactive templates with specialized triggers for extended control of CG pages, and access of graphics templates by Inscriber RTX, ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) and automation interface.
With the new G-3D design tool, designers can produce real-time 3-D scenes for playback on the G7 system. Using the COLLADA file format, designers can import and manipulate full 3-D scenes, including textures, animations, lighting and cameras, from tools, such as Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya, or generate new 3-D scenes using primitive models. Scene actions, multiple timeline control and triggers can be added to any 3-D scene, allowing scenes to interact with one another.
