HD plasmas make ESPN Zone Chicago unrivaled in the Midwest
Chicago’s newly renovated ESPN Zone is immersing fans in HD sports courtesy of 52 Panasonic HD professional plasma displays.
The 44 42in and eight 50in HD plasmas make the ESPN Zone in Chicago the largest all-HD sports bar and restaurant in the Midwest.
The 35,000sq-ft sports entertainment complex is using HD plasma displays throughout the facility to provide fans with a one-of-a-kind HD sports viewing experience in every corner.
The Screening Room includes a viewing setup with 12 Panasonic 42in HD plasma displays, surrounding a 16ft projection screen as the centerpiece and plasma displays around the room showing dozens of game feeds.
The plasma installation required 20,000ft of CAT6e video cable, eight new satellite connections and switching equipment to receive and control the HD feeds. All of the games shown on the plasma displays are controlled from a central production booth integrated into the main floor design.
