HD proliferation to increase rapidly worldwide, report says
A new report from Bharat Book Bureau forecasts rapid growth for HDTV worldwide, with the number of homes having an HDTV set reaching 106.2 million by the end of 2010 — three times as many as in 2005.
The report, “HDTV: A Global Analysis,” also foresees accelerated growth in the reception of HD programming, which will reach 80 million homes by the end of 2010.
The report analyzed early market activity and evaluated the future direction of the market. It includes illustrative statistics, forecasts to 2010 and analyses the market worldwide with forecasts for the world's top 14 countries in acceptance of new broadcast technology.
