HD supply must drive demand, says report

published A new study from ABI Research finds that things in the HDTV market supply will drive demand for sometime into the future.
The study, “The Future of the High Definition Television Market,” finds that critical mass for the HDTV market will only arrive when the equipment becomes sufficiently commoditized to drive prices down, and conventional TVs start to fade from the market.
According to ABI director of residential entertainment technologies Vamsi Sistla, most consumers have “lived happily with standard TV” and won’t pay a premium for HDTV.
