HDNet Covers Ford Funeral in HD
HDNet, the all high-definition channel co-founded by entrepreneur Mark Cuban, provided HD coverage of the funeral of former President Gerald Ford this week, live from the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
A special edition of its regularly scheduled "HDNet World Report" on Tuesday, Jan. 2, provided coverage for about three hours. (No specifics yet on exactly what equipment was deployed at the site.)
Similar to the simultaneous all-morning coverage of the major broadcast networks and cable news outlets, the HDNet proceedings were aired without commercial interruption. HDNet World Report Chief Correspondent Greg Dobbs hosted funeral coverage on the HD channel, which now includes former network anchor Dan Rather in its lineup.
