HDNet Providing HD Coverage of Mavericks Games in Texas
The Dallas Mavericks, owned by HD enthusiast Mark Cuban, is currently being featured on HDNet in the Lone Star State in their playoff games this week against the Rockets in Round 1. "There's nothing more exciting than playoff time, especially when you have a match-up featuring two Texas teams," said Cuban, co-founder of HDNet.
HDNet provides approximately 20 hours of original 1080i programming weekly of news, sports, music and entertainment. Other live HD sports productions
include NASCAR racing, the National Hockey League (when it isn't on strike) and Major League Soccer games.
Mavericks' Game 2 was aired on Monday night, and Games 3 and 4 in the NBA playoffs are scheduled for tomorrow night (April 28) and Saturday afternoon. Game 5, if necessary, would be HD-aired next Monday. HDNet Movies, the company's second premium network, features unedited theatrical releases in 1080i and their original aspect ratios.
