HDTV Trucks to Use Canon HD Lenses

published The newest HDTV trucks from mobile production companies NCP, NEP and NMT will be equipped with HD lenses made by Canon as well as the first Canon 100xs lenses. The trucks and lenses will be used by ESPN and ABC Sports to produce an expected 100 HD events in 2003.
Canon is targeting the DIGI Super 100xs, the world's first triple-digit zoom lens and HDxs lenses DIGISUPER XJ5xs and the DIGI SUPER 86xs at sports and entertainment. All of Canon's long lenses are equipped with an Optical Image Stabilizer, or Shift-IS system, which neutralizes camera shake due to wind, platform vibrations and camera operators' breathing.
